Just a book of poems I have written over the years. I was glad of the chance just to get them in print for myself. I was under mind mental health team for a few years, and they encouraged me to keep writing. I decided if I was lucky enough to make a few quid, I would donate to them. I never expected too much but I am glad I published on kdp platform. I would just love to see it rank well.
Continental Soldier: Battle Road
About Continental Soldier: Battle Road:
When tyranny comes calling, even the least of us can become heroes…
Levi Dawson wasn’t thought highly of in the village of Lexington, Massachusetts. The son of a dissolute drunk, he’s always been looked down upon or pitied by the people of his town. He’s had to work twice as hard to win half the esteem he deserves, and his prospects have never looked that great. But when word comes that redcoat soldiers are marching towards his village, Levi heads to town with the rest of the militia, unsure of what is to come. He and his few trusted friends now face an impossible situation. Soldiers are coming, soldiers who seek to enforce the creeping tyranny of a distant, uncaring king. To back down would mean living under their yoke forever, giving up the freedom gifted by God. To fight means taking on the greatest professional army in the world, and to break forever from the country of his birth. Worse still, the only woman who’s ever given Levi the slightest attention is in the path of the British advance. What does a mere farmer do in this situation? What does a free man do? Levi is about to find out, and it will be the stuff of legends…

Arrullos nocturnos: Una colección de poemas
About Arrullos nocturnos: Una colección de poemas:
El tiempo cura todas las heridas, en cambio, los recuerdos perduran como una nana cantada en voz baja, que sale por una ventana abierta hacia el cielo nocturno. Arrullos nocturnos es un cuento sobre el amor que llega a nuestra vida, se cierne sobre nosotros, se va y, a veces, vuelve para una segunda oportunidad.

Blueprints
“BLUEPRINTS” is the debut poetry collection by Taiwanese-American author Jeanelle Fu. Cover art by Dianuh Aerin Gundersen. In this narrative she finds language for her homeland, the songs of our parents. It is a recollection of grief, and how a people emerge from mourning one day, one breath at a time. As much as these poems honor the author’s heritage, they are also an invitation into crossing bridges: to celebrate and fight for the tribes adjacent, surrounding us all along. Through endless cups of shay in the Middle East, conversations in suhoor, the dancing on secluded rooftops: Grief is a storm we weather together. In these unprecedented times, we must hold one another’s hands as we wade across rivers of injustice and violence.
Excerpts:
家
what is home?
and why do we find remnants of it
in the strangest places
home is
a warm bowl of soymilk in Yonghe
mourning doves fluttering beside
a rusty air vent
it is the Azan before dawn
the brush of garlic petals against skin
we find traces
in subtle shades and textures
in shoulders we rest our heads on
in the tenacity of eyes that know us
home is a place you can always return to
“BLUEPRINTS”
Grandfather was a pilot in the war
He left China with two million other refugees
My father captured tadpoles in Kaohsiung
he dreamed of becoming an architect
He would stay up nights in the community room
constructing worlds with his colleagues
designing new spaces and doors
He traded his blueprints to sell flowers
for mom and I
extending his roots beneath the American sun
at weekly swap meets
learning a new language
I am a child of exodus
held intricately by bonds of sacrifice
I am the daughter of an architect
who laid out a blueprint of my life, with sweat and tears
“HOLY WEEK”
Palm Sunday bombs tore through
two Coptic churches
We drifted like phantoms
I can still see the dust swimming
Bombs detonate, breaking skin
hollowing bodies
Encased in metal shells and
fervent ideology
Unable to sever bonds
forged through daily sacrifice
Courage to open shops and put
aish on the table for sons and daughters

From Darkness to Light: God’s Gift of Love
About From Darkness to Light: God’s Gift of Love:
When you are feeling the hope of falling and you are failing. You can see how you fight from within your words. You are great and belief is an option. You get to decide what you think life should be like. This book will show you through poetry and image. You are your own light, and you decide your words, no one else. Life can always be great in every way. In the morning, remember how: and what you say can be your friend or make your days dark. I hope this book helps find you in the place you want to be and helps you learn to fight that demon called darkness that you no longer wish to be in.
When we open our eyes, we see every gift given to us and God’s protection from what will hurt us. The thing is we must stop, look and pay attention to everything. Yes, it is work when you think about we do it every day anyway.
I was never positive as I am today. It took work on my end and God did his part by changing me from the inside out. My will to change from the darkness to light helped God to finish the assignment He had given to me. Life is hard, Yes, I know. The thing is when we see our life as hard and we don’t see any Positive or no way to grow and learn, then that is what life becomes. It is like school only as an adult you are now in the school of life and the world. You are finding yourself again.

Scattered Thoughts By Hanan Saif
About Scattered Thoughts By Hanan Saif:
The intention and inspiration behind this book were the stories following each piece. These bits of poetry are written to inspire others. They are stories of victims who managed to survive from what is somewhat called the norms in our daily living. They are layers of billed sorrow. Thoughts that were put to fit their scattered pieces. Their reflections of suicide soon became the light at the end of the tunnel, the hope for better days. They became the source of joy and comfort for someone’s struggle. They put efforts into living. They never stopped trying. They survived their battles, and so can the many of you fighting. This wasn’t the end for them. Their battles don’t define them; rather, it shapes them individually. Their scars are sharp but an uncovered tattoo for the world to have a glimpse at. It is their stories of survival. Not everything is about ending your life. Not everything is a blame of one individual. Through these individual efforts to make changes in other lives is what pushed me to proceed with the book. I was inspired yet shocked into the truth of our existence. I know these stories have been ongoing issues for a while. However, my goal is to support and motivate others to be the best version they can be. That no matter how many times you fall and fail, the more you push for, the better. Scattered Thoughts is a motivation for the young and the old. It is a series of battles where the victims were the winners at the end. The people whose stories are written about are now happy and wish that you could end up with their results. They wish that you can forgive yourself, love yourself, and most importantly, appreciate and know your worth.
