Wrongful Conviction and Miscarriage of Justice by Matthew Harrison
Wrongful Conviction by Matthew Harrison is a powerful exploration of the flaws and injustices within the criminal justice system that lead to innocent individuals being convicted. Harrison delves deep into real-life cases where evidence was ignored or mishandled, exposing the systemic failures that allow wrongful convictions to happen.
This book not only tells the heartbreaking stories of those who have suffered because of these miscarriages of justice but also challenges readers to question the fairness of a system meant to protect the innocent. Through Harrison’s lens, readers gain a profound understanding of how wrongful convictions occur and are encouraged to advocate for change, justice, and accountability. Wrongful Convictions is both a call to action and a beacon of hope for those fighting for a fairer judicial system.

Author Bio:
Matthew Harrison’s childhood was filled with the joys of sports, friends, and numerous cousins. However, a series of unexpected turns unfolded after his parents’ divorce. His mother’s remarriage, marked by unfulfilled promises of love and spirituality, subjected Matthew to taunts and abuse, leaving him grappling with feelings of being unloved.
Guided by a resilient spiritual foundation fostered by good leaders and friends, Matthew navigated life until his first marriage ended in divorce. Despite the challenges, the birth of his daughter became a cherished bright spot in an otherwise tumultuous journey.
Subsequent unsavory relationships in both work and personal life added further complications. Seeking solace, Matthew found a special connection and married, welcoming two children into the world. However, the marriage eventually drifted, leading Matthew to seek companionship elsewhere and to face accusations of crimes.
The legal system painted Matthew as a “monster” through biased media coverage, lying attorneys, and a prejudiced judicial system. This injustice led to the loss of his good name, job, home, and, most significantly, his immediate family. Gratefully, extended family members provided crucial support during these challenging times.
Convicted and sent to prison, Matthew not only survived but thrived through an enhanced relationship with God. His journey involved acknowledging choices, seeking forgiveness, and navigating numerous lost appeals. In prison, he began helping others by writing letters, sharing resources, and offering support.
Motivated to share the truth, Matthew collaborated with a family member to write Wrongful Conviction, choosing self-publishing to create a comprehensive reading/listening experience—available in e-book, printed paperback and hardback, and audible formats.
As Matthew and his family continue to learn about publishing and marketing, they express gratitude for supportive readers. A second book arrived earlier this year. The upcoming release of “Misconceptions Shattered” goes beyond Matthew’s experiences, shedding light on others wrongly convicted and providing insight into battling injustice.
In Wrongful Conviction, Matthew strives to connect with a broader audience, utilizing writing as a means to transform the prison experience into something less hurtful and more productive. Believing in God’s plan for his “schooling” in this place and time, Matthew invites readers to join him on his ongoing journey. Currently, Matthew is preparing a habeas corpus legal approach to uncovering gross errors in his trial and motion for appeal.
