This dual-language story is specifically designed to teach children new foreign words and phrases as you read to them. The book is also available in other languages. If you and your children like funny animals and a bit of seek-and-find, then you’ll both love this charming story!
Two Versions Of Japanese:
This book is for bilingual language learning. It is edited in two versions. Considerations in the editing are following differences between English and Japanese grammar.
Pronouns (I, you, he, she, me, him, her, etc.) are often dropped in the subject and/or object as well as in the possessive form in Japanese.
There are different verb forms: polite, simple, dictionary form, etc., besides verb conjugations.
Finally, there are sentence-ending particles to convey nuances.
In the text, the first line in bold letters uses children’s language, which is not generally taught in Japanese learning books. The second line in smaller letters includes pronouns and uses a polite form which is typically taught in Japanese language textbooks.
For all kids learning English or Japanese as a second language.
