Author Bio:
Eric Hudspith has been the superintendent of Waseca Public Schools in south central Minnesota since July 2020 and has been serving in public education in various roles for over 20 years.
Throughout his career, Eric has been an elementary teacher, middle school and varsity coach, director of facilities and transportation, and an elementary principal and director of human resources and organizational development and superintendent. His vast experience in educational leadership has provided the opportunity to support employees in many different roles empathetically, and the most successful strategies have made their way into this book. In addition to his role in public education, Eric has also been an adjunct faculty member at Minnesota State-Mankato, teaching human resource management.
Dr. Hudspith believes strongly that all staff have the desire and ability to succeed, and the role of leadership is to provide an environment that supports their growth and development. Although this leadership support takes many forms, the goal should always be the employee’s growth and success before discipline.
In addition to his passion for education and leadership, Eric is proud to be a husband and father. He and his wife Emily, who is also an educator, enjoy every minute they spend with their children, Ella (16), Cole (15), Joe (11), and Drew (9).
