His voice was sultry and attractive, causing a wild array of shivers to dance over her skin. “It only took one look at you for me to know that I had to get as close to you as I possibly could.” his thumb softly caressed her jawline, making her only more nervous. The fluttering in her stomach now shot down between her legs, making her… aroused. She could not believe what she was hearing. Better yet, she could not believe that she wasn’t dreaming. “So I bought this place straight out of that man’s hand. Now I will always know how to find you, and how to reach out to you. I think it’s safe to say, Grace, that you took my breath away from that very moment.”Grace didn’t know what to do or how to respond. Instead, she simply stood there, shaking at her feet. Nothing even remotely like this had ever happened to her, and now it was simply happening to her without having had the chance to prepare for it at all. When she was silent for too long, stuck in her own thoughts, Chance’s lips approached her, sealing her words behind her lips for good. The kiss was soft and gentle at first, but swiftly it changed into something more lustful. Chance’s lips caressed her own and Grace could feel the soft stubble against her chin. Her hands, whether voluntarily or not, shot up towards his chest. She grabbed a hold of his clothing, squeezing the fabric so firmly her hands went numb. She was nervous, but that didn’t mean that she didn’t want this. In fact, she had been dreaming of this for weeks now, so she tried her very best to kiss back. After only a short moment, she could feel Chance’s mouth opening. He waited for her to do the same, after which Chance’s tongue slipped out of his mouth to meet hers. Grace shivered, arousal spreading more violently through her stomach. She couldn’t even help but whimper straight into his mouth, making her arousal and her nerves very clear to him.Their tongues danced around each other passionately. Grace couldn’t even remember how long this had been going on, but she did know that she loved it. The things it made her feel couldn’t be compared to anything she had ever felt before. And it just so turned out that Chance was about to make those feelings even more intense.

Author Bio:
Quinn Barnes was born in Capri, Italy, on April 27th, 1990. She was born into a big family, with five siblings, two girls and three boys, and her mother, Elisabetta Canales, and father, Steven Barnes.
Family life was quite chaotic for Barnes. The house was always bustling with children and family coming in and out. From a young age, Barnes found solace in reading. She especially loved romance novels— she loved to imagine being a part of a fantastical romance and be swept off of her feet by a knight in shining armor. This led to her writing her own fiction, bred from her passion for reading and storytelling.
School wasn’t hard for Barnes. She was an average student and worked hard throughout college to eventually achieve her Doctorate in Italian Literature at Florence University (Università degli Studi Firenze). During the years between university and graduate school, she landed her first steady job as an investigative journalist for Il Sole 24 Ore, The Buzz, and other magazines.
It was also during these college years that she met the first love of her life. Barnes was always a romantic at heart. She was a serial dater in high school, jumping from boyfriend to boyfriend, wanting to understand those romance novels that she adored so much. It wasn’t until college that she managed to achieve that love. Antonio Rossi and Barnes dated for three years until they broke it off due to Rossi leaving to study abroad. It shattered Barnes’s heart, but it was a productive heartbreak, as it fanned Barnes’s fire to pour her emotions into her writing.
Despite her successes as an author, her family is hesitant about accepting her career. Erotica is not openly accepted in Italian culture, which was quite a hurdle for Barnes to jump when she decided to dive into her career as a romance author. As a result, she made the hard decision to leave her family and moved to Milan, to free herself from societal confines.
Barnes’s latest novel, The Ultimate Love Taboo, is quickly climbing the ranks of the best sellers list, as well as solidifying itself as a fan favorite. She is a legend in the making.
