Hannah Taylor is a self-professed, geek-of-all-trades who loves learning new things. She enjoys reading, writing, creating, and problem-solving. She’s loved these things since she was old enough to read, doodle, and tinker with computers.
Taylor has qualifications in science and web development. She loves learning so much that she went out and got a qualification in teaching, too! She’s currently a Product Manager for an EdTech company. Here she’s had experience in instructional design, curriculum alignment, and project management. She develops engaging, interactive, online learning experiences for kindergarteners through to adult learners.
Taylor’s past work experience includes web development and teaching high school computer science. As a female of color from a low-socioeconomic background, she’s passionate about culturally responsive pedagogy. She hopes to continue encouraging learners from underrepresented groups into STEM/STEAM pathways. Taylor also has expertise in remote work, productivity, well-being, and work-life balance.
One of her favorite achievements is being an award-winning amateur filmmaker (Best Film at Tropfest NZ 2016 for “Back O’ The Bus”; Best Female Director and Best Solo Team at 48Hours NZ 2021 for “Rekindled Spirits”). Other achievements include solving a Rubik’s cube blindfolded and taking up soccer at age 31. She lives in a small town in New Zealand and loves living near the beach. In her downtime, she also dabbles in improv, stand-up comedy, singing, drums, piano, and learning to draw and animate.
