Bobby J. Bixler was raised in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. In the early 1800’s, that portion of the state he was born and raised in was a part of the Cherokee Nation. Both his mother and father were German and Cherokee. His mother and her father, Bobby’s Cherokee grandfather, were both story tellers. They could entertain for hours with their stories. Bobby’s parents traveled constantly; therefore, he became accustomed to meeting new people and changing schools almost every year. The benefit of this to him was, he enjoys meeting new people as well as extended friendships.
After college, Bobby spent six years in the military, where he continued to travel and make new friends in several countries. He discovered a new love when he began to write. He gets lost in this world that seems real with each book. His characters are based on people he knew, allowing him to bring them to life.
Bobby is married to his lovely wife, Diane. He met her shortly before leaving the military. She is the love of his life. Many of her attributes are found in the female characters he writes about.
