About The Bone Relic by William Mesusan:
CÓRDOBA – 950 CE
One of Islam’s most sacred relics, the arm bone of the prophet Muhammad, is stolen from the Great Mosque of Córdoba, calling into question the legitimacy of the Umayyad Caliphate and threatening the future of 10th century Europe’s most enlightened culture.
Investigator Solomon Levy, an amateur sleuth renowned for finding missing objects and persons, is pressed into action by his cousin, Hasdai Shaprut, Foreign Minister and personal physician to the Caliph. Solomon must race against time to find and return the holy relic before its annual display takes place in the Great Mosque.
Solomon’s search for the sacred relic requires a perilous journey from romantic Córdoba to the Andalusian ports of Seville and Cádiz (Europe’s oldest city) and leads him into a murky world where desire and need drive the intense competition for stolen relics.
The Bone Relic, a Medieval Mystery, is Book Two of the Andalusian Trilogy.
