From a young age, MJ’s life was intertwined with the arts, thanks to her family’s appreciation for creativity. MJ’s journey in education spanned over two decades, during which she served as a Camp Director, Music, and English Teacher in the heart of the Midwest. It was a period marked by innovation and dedication, culminating in the implementation of a groundbreaking literacy program that touched the lives of over 20,000 students. Her tireless literacy efforts earned her a Ph.D. in 2005, solidifying her commitment to empowering young minds through the magic of literature.
