Like those of you reading this book, I have experienced childhood traumas, namely emotional neglect leading to anxiety. My trauma is due primarily to being forced to move out at 16 by emotionally immature parents. My parents offered no support even though I reached out several times, so I learned to rely on myself and navigate life. This caused a lot of anxiety that I carried into adulthood, and still affects me today.
