Darkly hilarious, Shorter than the day is Veep meets Dr Strangelove, perfect for those looking for fast-paced sci-fi political satire about our own times.
End-of-days war between the US, China, and Europe is threatening. Migrant children are being turned into war robots and people’s emotions are almost entirely controlled by their smart-watches. This is the world in which Adriana de Tocville accidentally becomes President of the United States. A committed anarcho-syndicalist, her views are radically at odds with the establishment. How can she negotiate weird cult leaders, murderous Generals, super-intelligent AI and her craving for donuts to stop humanity succumbing to extinction?

Author Bio:
Erwan Atcheson is a writer of children’s and adult’s fiction. His stories can be whimsical, science-fictional, fantastical, satirical, even sometimes believable, but whatever else they never lack for humour. Like most authors he’s had a lot of different jobs, including professional glove puppeteer, snooker room attendant, observatory tour guide, and (for ten years) a scientist studying parasites and viruses. He lives happily in his family home in Belfast, where the animals outnumber the humans three to one.
