About Sensored Souls: The Secret Life of a Mind-Hacking Neuroscientist:
A dazzling intersection of mind, body, soul and the senses. When her father goes missing, Persephone Jones’ search for him brings her to a hidden art gallery in Shanghai. As she races to find answers to her questions, a room concealing a collection of glowing glass sculptures grips her.
Not knowing who, or what, to trust, Persephone becomes part of a gruesome plot that draws the young neuroscientist into a sinister and suspenseful situation. With time running out, mounting moral dilemmas, and her life in peril, can she triumph over darkness to accept where the future of medical technology leads?
Set in a near-future urban underworld, fantastic technology and futuristic Buddhism dance with characters caught in unpredictable events. This imaginative and eerie speculative vision is based in enough reality to haunt you.
This innovative cross-genre novel (metaphysical speculative sci-fi) offers a treasure trove for those who love insightful dialogue, accessible philosophical inquiry, plot surprises and a strong female lead.
The interplay of art and science, neuroaesthetics and ethics explores how far one may go in a desperate search for the elusive human soul. Layered with intriguing ideas and clear writing exploring the use and abuse of medical discoveries, “Sensored Souls” will make a fantastic movie or a mini-series.
