About Sam’s Special Place: A Tale of an Unlikely Hero:
If you’ve ever felt that you didn’t belong, this heartwarming story shows it’s wise to stay strong.
Even from a young age, Sam didn’t fit in. He didn’t look like the other birds with his short wings and round belly. Though the others teased him for being different, he found comfort in wandering the forest, creating wonderfully wacky worm recipes. But when a treacherous storm threatens his home, will Sam find the courage to rescue his family?
Tia Clarida’s debut picture book is a heartwarming and relatable story of how being different makes you unique. Readers will love this sweet book that illustrates the importance of spreading your wings.

Author Bio:
Tia Clarida’s debut children’s book was inspired by her late father, who encouraged her to publish it, so in his honor, she proudly presents a complicated yet heroic bird who teaches us to embrace who we are.
A graduate of Clemson University, Tia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications. She spent more than 20 as co-owner of k101 Agency, an integrated marketing, and public relations firm — and now owns her own marketing company, Creative Culture Marketing.
When she is not writing, you can find her and her husband at the baseball field cheering on their 11-year-old son Ryder, chasing her dog Eddy (named after the great Eddie Vedder), attempting to train their Great Pyrenees puppy Bohdy, fantasizing about pop-up trailers on Pinterest, testing new recipes, reading rock biographies or hanging upside down practicing her Scorpion pose.
