Return to Hair of the Dog by Jean Luntz
Spirits are still talking through Gregory Davenport – only this time their warnings are ominous. Letty Carlyle’s dangerous past finally catches up with her when murderous ex-boyfriend Mikey O’Shea returns to Chicago. Working with One-Arm Nettles, the men are employed by a notorious bank owner who will do anything to keep his banks solvent, but in 1932 that is an almost impossible task. When Rose Flanagan uncovers the utility company’s bankruptcy, she starts a series of events fraught with disaster, beginning with O’Shea running her down. Now O’Shea is looking for Letty and Flanagan’s sister Grace. Will Nettles join the Davenports in protecting the gals, or will his criminal past allow him to turn a blind eye, giving O’Shea freedom to commit his maniacal rampage through Chicago?
