About My First Glasses: Kids See The World More Clearly:
Do you know someone who wears glasses? All kinds of kids need glasses to help them see better. They may be girls or boys. They may be tall or short. They may like playing outside or reading inside. They may be little babies or big twelve-year-old kids. It could be anybody!
The kids in our story are all different too! But they are all the same in one way. They are all embarking upon an adventure to get their first glasses. See how our friends Gracie, Logan, Izzy, and Noah go on a journey to see the world more clearly.
My First Glasses is a colorful, lighthearted look at a common milestone in many children’s lives — their first visit to an eye doctor to find their first pair of glasses. Written for children, parents and guardians, it’s a helpful first look at some of the questions and anxieties that some children may have… while encouraging a positive attitude and high self-esteem.

Author Bio:
Lucy grew up around words and lovely things. Her mother was an elementary school teacher and her father was an extraordinarily gifted florist. Because of these early influences, Lucy has always considered herself to be a “hybrid” – a rule follower who bends the rules just enough to be as creative as her imagination will let her be.
Lucy established a decent career working in advertising and marketing agencies, getting to work on some of the world’s biggest brands with some brilliantly talented people. But her greatest joy was writing funny quips for pictures, cleverly crafting amusing emails to her clients and keeping her co-workers snickering and enjoying showing up every day to create things together.
In her spare time, Lucy started dabbling in writing children’s books – some funny, some informational, some sweet, some fantastical. Marrying fun stories with engaging illustrations resulted in a whimsical library of work for children of all ages.
Lucy lives in Texas with her husband who is also an accomplished writer, musician and artist. They collaborate on many of the stories and illustrations featured in her books. Her only daughter, her English Cream Golden Retriever and her nieces, nephews and little friends all provide inspiration, laughter and no shortage of amusing ideas.
