Melcazar El Sharif is the High Priest of Marduk, Babylon’s patron God. Danger surrounds him, his one bright spot is the love of Nepthys a young priestess; yet she is haunted by sadness. As Mehen draws closer to a wedding with her, events come to pass that reveal to Mehen his true destiny and change the path of himself and Melcazar forever.
