About Life Skills for Teens Beyond the Classroom: A Fun and Interactive Workbook to Discover Your Purpose, Conquer Anxiety, and Navigate Uncertainty:
They’ve got homework coming out of their ears… but is your teen equipped with all the skills they need to live a happy, healthy, and independent life?
If your teenager has ever “forgotten” to eat for most of the day… Or if you’ve had to help them out of a tight spot because they’ve already spent their allowance… Or they panic every time a deadline is approaching…
Then you might be worrying about how they’re going to fend for themselves when they eventually fly the nest.
You’re not alone. In fact, one survey found that 60% of parents worry that their kids are lacking in essential life skills… and there’s a good reason for that.
As a society, we put so much pressure on our kids to “be successful” that their entire education is academic. And while it’s true that much of what they learn will help them prepare for a successful career, we’re missing a big part of the equation.
Our children don’t just need successful careers.
They also need to be able to look after themselves.
They need to figure out who they are and what they want from life, and they need to be able to take care of both their mental and physical health—because that’s the foundation for everything else.
You can teach them all you like about the practicalities of running a house, but how do you prepare them for the unpredictable challenges that lie ahead?
How can you make sure that they’re emotionally and mentally resilient and ready to embrace the future with confidence?
This essential workbook has you covered.
It’s designed to help your teen prepare themselves for the future in a fun and engaging way—so that they really absorb everything they’re learning and are inspired to think about the future with a new outlook.
Inside, they’ll discover:
Over 15 fun and interactive worksheets (plus a whole host of practical activities) to help them prepare for a bright future with a calm and confident mind
How to figure out their values and implement healthy boundaries that ensure they’re always living as their most authentic self
The secret to setting achievable and motivating goals that will help them discover more about their identity and ambitions
What they have in common with a best-selling brand… and how to master the art of creating the right first impression
Practical advice for dealing with fear, anxiety, and stress… and how to keep their negative thoughts under control
What every teen needs to know about habits in order to keep their mind and body healthy
The dietary, exercise, and sleep habits you’ve been trying to drill into them for years—made fun and accessible!
How to treat themselves with the care and compassion they show to their best friend (and why this is so important)
The 30-day challenge that will equip them with all the skills they need to ask for help when it’s necessary
A blueprint for dealing with change… no matter how scary it is
And much more.
You might be worried that your teen isn’t big on reading or they’re already snowed under with work… But this fun and interactive workbook is designed to suit even the most reluctant of readers.
Written in a fun, easy-to-read style, and packed with practical activities, it’s exactly what your teen needs to prepare themselves for the future ahead of them—no matter what it holds.

Author Bio:
Larissa Lawson is an educator and the author of Life Skills for Teens Beyond the Classroom: A Fun and Interactive Workbook to Discover Your Purpose, Conquer Anxiety, and Navigate Uncertainty.
Her work is dedicated to empowering young people to move through life with independence and confidence. Her writing is fun and easy to read, and aims to provide teens and young adults with guidance they can turn to as they face new challenges in their everyday lives.
Due to her family circumstances when she was younger, Larissa was forced to grow up quickly and learned a lot of the skills she would later need as an adult independently. Now, with teenage children of her own, she has an eagle eye for recognizing the challenges young people face and the skills they need to help them through.
Driven by her own difficulties as a child and an awareness that the world is changing rapidly, Larissa is committed to helping young people navigate the challenges that the education system doesn’t equip them for. She volunteers in schools and youth centers, running workshops that aim to give young people the skills they need to grow into independent adults. Larissa is always guided by the groups she works with and aims to make every session fun in a way that works for the dynamic of the group.
Larissa is Swiss-American and lives with her family in California. She loves reading, cooking, and discovering new things – which she finds her children to be excellent instigators of.
