About Inspiration at Riverdale Terrace: Alicia: Rediscovered Faith:
Inspiration at Riverdale Terrace – Alicia’s life is about to change. Will she be ready to listen, open her heart, and embraced a chance to give her life a meaningful purpose where her talents will shine?
Sometimes it’s hard to see where God is at work. For instance, if you were to walk past a rundown apartment complex on a corner in New York City, you might notice the homeless girl shivering on the stoop. You might hear the cries of a baby upstairs or loud music from the second floor. There’s nothing in the cracked windows, dusty bricks, or peeling paint at Riverdale Terrace to show that God is indeed hard at work within these walls.
Alicia lost her faith the day her mother died, eight years ago. Now 24, she lives with her twin brother and her drunken father in Riverdale Terrace, where the cockroaches skitter, and you can smell despair in the hallway, like cigarettes and beer. Fending for herself all this time, Alicia thinks she knows all about life. Keep your head down, and get through the day. That’s all there is to it.
Josh doesn’t see it that way. He’s fresh out of college, working to help a new minister start a youth outreach program at the neighborhood church. He has optimism, energy, and faith. And when he sees Alicia, he wants to share his message – and his life – with her. With God’s help, can Josh show this tough and introverted girl a better way to live? Can he convince her to use her talent to enrich her own life, and the lives of others?
