A shocking crime of international significance is discovered on Darwin’s docks in the far north of Australia. The local police race to find those responsible before the authorities from the south arrive to claim the credit. Roland Redman and Kamahli, a beautiful refugee from Sri Lanka’s long and brutal civil war, are Sergeant Yates prime suspects.
A series of events illustrate how the best intentions can end in vastly different outcomes. Darwin’s Wake tells of lives colliding in the Top End heat in the steamy build up to the tropical monsoon.
