Author Bio:
The author worked for the military in the nuclear weapons arena. He held a security clearance much higher than top secret. He routinely communicated with the State Department on matters concerning the PRC and USSR senior leadership (both civilian and military). He worked with the National Security Agency (NSA). While stationed in California, he was assigned to the On-Site Inspection Agency. It verified Soviet compliance with the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty. His work involved code books. He personally briefed the top Soviet general on US nuclear weapons release criteria. The general returned to the Soviet Union and had a fatal “car crash.”
He sometimes coordinated with the Defense Intelligence Service (DIS). He also worked on and off with the Brits. Ross was teaching a senior class, in US foreign policy and the law of armed conflict, as an assistant professor. He “uncovered” a Soviet spy on the college campus. He notified the CIA who admitted they’d lost track of the man. The Romanian “student” was quickly scooped up and deported?
He writes for the pleasure of it. He lives a quiet life on a pristine coast where manatees roll, dolphins cavort, and bald eagles soar. Ross is one of the select few who know the sun by its first name.
