Jack is a farmer who lives with his wife Hannah and eleven-year-old daughter Gretel. One night, while Hannah and Gretel are at Hannah’s mother’s house, the farmhouse is attacked by an elusive and mysterious enemy, whose non-human nature leaves Jack dumbfounded. To make matters worse, this attacker seems to be invincible – Jack’s attempts to stop it are fruitless, as are those of two police officers who arrive at the house after Hannah calls 911 for she realizes her husband is in danger. Hannah and Gretel drive back to the farm, waiting for them, a wounded but alive Jack and the attacker — how will it end?
Chicken Feed is a spooky-ish story with an unusual antagonist and a little humor here and there.
