From the gangs on the streets of Western Sydney to sustaining a life-changing injury in Queensland, Paul Innes’ life has been an extreme but inspiring rock and rollercoaster ride.
Not becoming weakened by his injury, but truly being empowered in diverse ways, what would have broken most people was the making of Paul Innes.
Thirty-four years after the accident that left him a quadriplegic, Paul says he is living all of our best lives. His prosperous business, a disability care service, runs independently of him while he records with his band, does hilarious interviews and skits for his sit-down comedy and searches for the next property that he will turn into a self-sufficient resort style sanctuary.
Assisting local psychics to move on negative entities as just one of his side hobbies, his spirit is fearless. Having successfully created a sanctuary that brought back from the abyss, four of Queensland’s missing frogs, to being the founder of a rights incorporation – Paul has led a remarkable and widely influential, contributory life.
In his memoir, he reminds you that you can do anything you can imagine in this world. Drawing on his very different life experiences, replete with its awe-inspiring highs and heart shattering lows, Paul challenges and inspires you to enjoy the infinite strength of your own spirit and life, while being buoyed and empowered by his, as some of his one-liners suggest-
Don’t be affected, stay cool, calm and collected.
In alarm, breathe, be calm.
Endure the length with courage, with strength.
In the midst of rigour, remember your vigour.
Don’t just fold, be strong, be bold.
Let no fool, break your cool.
