Accidental Magic by Peggy Chan
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse …
Two days ago, my entire world exploded, and I lost everything. For some unknown reason, I just seem to attract anarchy.
I activated my dormant magic power during my first shift as a ghost-walk tour guide, and all hell broke loose. It was an accident; I had no idea this magic coursed through my veins – it’s genetic, apparently. Tombstones collapsed, the dead resurrected, and walking corpses wreaked pandemonium throughout Salem. You get the gory picture, right?
Anyway, my friends and I all ran off before the police arrived. And yes, you’ve guessed it, they managed to escape, but I didn’t. I fell slap, bang into a dirty, dark, moss-riddled open grave. After clawing my way out, I discover that, once again, my world has spun on its axis.
Trapped in the 17th century with no internet, transport, or time portals to secure my safe passage back to 21st-century life, I only have my witchy grandmother to help me make sense of my new magical powers.
The only thread of hope keeping me sane right now is Quinn and my werewolf friends, Henry and Ronnie.
Will I ever find a way to return to my old life in Salem?
Will Quinn still be my rock and my reason for continuing this crazy existence?
Grab your broomstick, and let’s find out. Come join me on my weirdest trip yet. And keep your fingers crossed I don’t accidentally start an apocalypse.
