Between being a dedicated teacher for the last twenty years, raising two precocious daughters, and having an almost unhealthy obsession with Dr. Seuss, Victoria Deodato was bound to write a children’s book. Since she was a child, Victoria has been passionate about the environment and animal rights, which she naturally fostered in her own children as well as her students. Ola, the main character of A Walk in Ola’s Shoes, is a cumulation of Victoria’s daughters, Olivia and Sarah, as well as herself as a child. Victoria enjoys spending time with her family, walking on the beach, and rescuing dogs. She resides in Nova Scotia, Canada, with her wonderful husband, Mark, and their rescue dogs, Gord and Gina.
