In a near future world where semi trucks mingle with flying taxis on the Truckfinity freeway, a mysterious man named Richard hitches a ride to Ohio.
At first glance, he’s just an average, middle-aged guy in a black t-shirt and clean blue jeans trying to get home. But it’s hard to disregard the aged scars on his knuckles, the woman stalking him in a flier, and the odd questions he asks, like “Is Ohio still there?”

Chris Africa is a science fiction and fantasy author whose day job as a digital project manager in Southeast Michigan pays the bills.
Chris has been writing and publishing content her entire life, in numerous formats and genres. Her background includes:
* Five years as reporter and editor at her hometown newspaper, The Daily Standard.
* Copywriting for alumni publications and writing web site content as part of various jobs at the University of Michigan.
* Publisher/editor (and designer) for the now-defunct Ultraverse E-zine of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
* Author of The Elf and the Amulet and The Shapeshifter’s Fate.
* Author of numerous stories on Wattpad.
* Invited contributor to the Vizions of the Future anthology (now out of print).
