At 26, Karis Meier’s body began failing—rare parasites, numb limbs that woke her screaming at night, a failing pancreas, SIBO, eventually Lyme disease. Suffering Redeemed is her raw memoir of clinging to Jesus through decades of chronic illness, doubt, and unanswered prayer.
This isn’t a story about getting the miracle—Meier never got one. She traces suffering’s roots—childhood fear, teenage anorexia, feeling forsaken by God—while wrestling toward hope through Scripture on identity, grace, and God’s glory.
Part memoir, part biblical study, the book turns outward too, with a chapter guiding loved ones on supporting someone who suffers. Each of its 15 chapters ends with reflection questions, ideal for devotion or group study.
For anyone asking “why,” and anyone beside someone who is, this book offers honest companionship and hope that doesn’t depend on the pain going away. Get it free today!
