This book is a memoir of my practice as a sports agent from 1988 to 2006, when I represented professional football and basketball players. Throughout my life I have been associated with family and friends who enjoy a good story involving sports and the players who play the game. While attempting to climb the mountain of becoming a full-time sports agent, I had some memorable experiences, which as I grew older, I thought others might enjoy. This book is a recounting of some of my experiences, as an attorney and agent, with an emphasis on the legal background and legal proceedings in which I found myself during my sports representation. Particularly, this book focuses on my client, Stanley Roberts, who had a colorful ten-year career in professional basketball including stints with Real Madrid, the Orlando Magic, the L.A. Clippers, the Houston Rockets, and the Philadelphia 76ers. Any sports fan, particularly football and basketball fans, should enjoy this book and learn a lot of what happens behind the scenes in the sports world.
