Author Bio:
My name is Jason Collings. I grew up in Cornwall, the grandson of a German refugee who fled the turmoil of Prussia at the end of WWI, fortunate to still be able to speak to the last veterans of the conflict. I carried a passion for the history of the early twentieth century into my studies at Oxford University, and beyond, visiting the sites, walking the ground, handling the artefacts—I now seem to know 1920s Berlin better than my own city.
On New Year’s Day 2023, I began to write the Alaric von Trelow Mysteries, bringing to life the chaotic, brilliant, and terrifyingly modern world of Weimar Germany. My goal, to create compelling, exciting, interesting stories that resurrect and bring back into focus fascinating and often forgotten details of that vibrant, thrilling time and place.
I now live in Winchester, UK, another city dripping with history. I really hope you enjoy reading the books as much as I enjoy writing them.
