All Diane Bayer wants is to get out of her small town and see the world, like her new boyfriend, Ken, suggests. Ken is sensitive, mature, upper-middle-class, and working on his PhD in Physics. Diane’s mom wants her to bring him home to meet the family, but she’s hesitant. This makes her wonder if she’s ashamed of her working-class parents.
Then Diane’s heart does a flip, then a flop, and finally comes to a screeching halt when she sees Bobby, her middle school crush, again.
To complicate things, Diane is forced to take rides to college with her neighbor, Brad, who happens to be as handsome as he is annoying.
As fate or luck would have it, Ken breaks off their relationship when Diane’s beliefs clash with his.
Diane meets Bobby again and sparks fly between them. The only one who doesn’t like Bobby is Brad. Bobby’s secret life breaks Diane’s heart, and then Brad gives her a shoulder to cry on.
Right in the middle of it all, Diane gets a card signed, “from your secret admirer” but who sent it? Ken, Bobby or Brad? Diane’s best friend, Kim, thinks she knows. But is her secret admirer a “keeper?”
Love has a funny way about it, and the heart finds ways to surprise us. A feel good Romance, with enough humor an a dash of faith to let love be blind, deaf and dumb as long as Diane ends up with “the one.”
Free February 10-11 (in time for Valentine’s Day).
