Justice Rides by Saddletramp1956
Most men hang up their spurs when they die. Elijah Jones just got his. When a Civil War cavalryman falls on a dusty Georgia road, he expects the afterlife to look like the end of something. Instead, it looks like a job offer. Heaven, it turns out, has need of a man who knows temptation, grief, and the particular weight of a Colt revolver on his hip.
Armed with a heavenly badge and partnered with the ancient embodiment of retributive justice, Eli rides out across a lawless frontier where the wicked believe no one is watching. But when justice rides alongside you, the guilty never stay hidden for long.
But when a wanted poster bearing a familiar face lands in his hands, this becomes more than a calling. It becomes personal. And a righteous man on a mission is the most dangerous thing the frontier has ever seen.
As corrupt towns, crooked judges, and men who have never faced a consequence scramble to hold their ground, Eli brings something they have no answer for. Faith that does not flinch. And a lasso that burns like the sun.
Some debts take longer than a lifetime to settle. Are the wicked of this world ready to pay theirs?
