Faunar was always meant to be a place of peace. The Maker had endowed it with natural beauty and left it teeming with life. Most life had evolved and the wolf-like Loupiq and feline-like Chafel had devoted their existence to protecting their hallowed grounds. When peace became obstructed, the Loupiq and Chafel formed their own protection. Calling themselves the premaliers, this group was tasked with not only the safety of their people, but also defending the sacred world of Faunar.
Fenrit’s entire life as a premalier had been one of duty. He had obediently served following the commands of his people’s elders. When Fenrit’s people have their existence threatened by a new menace, the elders adopt their usual stance of passive resistance. Fenrit fears inaction will not be enough in the face of the new danger and decides to begin a journey against the consent of the elders to protect his people.
I enjoy writing Fantasy and love reading Science Fiction, thus my series “Jaded Dusk” is an attempt to blend the two. I love getting into the worlds created by others and now I’m enjoying creating my own and then expanding on it. For me the real fun is growing with your characters. As you begin to understand them more the writing process becomes more enjoyable as you think ahead about how the events of your story will impact each of your characters.
