“Great job with this book. Fun memories in magical places shared with close friends and family is what life is all about. Hats off to you Graham.” Karl Decker, Mountaineering Videographer, “Karl Decker Presents” – YouTube

“I loved the stories. And it sounds like you’ve hooked yourself a few times! Comes with the territory — a fisherman must endure the elements, the whims of the fish, and the threat (or thrill) of the hook! I’m so glad you wrote these great tales down.” Joel Morris, best-selling author of his first book, “All our Yesterdays: A Novel of Lady MacBeth”

Here is a book review from John Shewey, Editor of American Fly Fishing Magazine:
“I love a good yarn, fly fishing or otherwise, but a fun tale from a fly angler is especially entertaining, and Graham M. Mott delivers a collection of true stories that will ring familiar to anyone who has practiced the art for a longtime. His stories will resonate with fly anglers in all walks of life.

In one incident, Mott manages to impale himself with a fly. We’ve all been there, but not of all us have fished out the rest of the day with a fly dangling from our lip before finally seeking medical attention at a local clinic. Some of us have done that, but few of us can report a second self-hooking that only to ends up in front of the same doctor.

Fly fishing as a conduit for deeper, more meaningful, more fulfilling relationships with friends and family members, is a recurring theme in “Hooked by Fly Fishing,” and Mott recalls many times when his favorite sport—his addiction—has provided him catharsis. Mott’s stories enshrine personal relationships made all the richer through fly fishing. His stories range from the humorous to the poignant. He also recounts some great catches, but his essays clearly echo the sentiment that it’s the fishing that matters far more than the catching.”
