David Haldane is an award-winning American journalist, author and columnist living in Northern Mindanao, Philippines, with his Filipino wife and their two children. A former staff writer for the Los Angeles Times, where he contributed to Pulitzer prize-winning stories, he now writes a weekly column for The Manila Times and contributes regularly to the newspaper’s Sunday magazine. When not writing, he can often be found enjoying a glass of wine on his veranda overlooking Surigao Strait. Or, even more often, putting the kids to bed.
