A magical bond
A new world to explore
An ever-looming threat of death
Beneath an old bridge lies a doorway to another world filled with knights and swords, duty and honor, and a crazy energy sharing system that seems to put the needs of some ahead of the needs of others. As it turns out, sixteen-year-old Cricket Mohs is the magical priestess who was foretold of in legend and sent to keep that order or else the lands will die, an order system she despises.
Cricket finds that she has strong feelings for one of her protectors, a man almost twice her age who also has strong feelings for her teetering on lust. Even though those feelings are a product of a traditional ritual which connects them telepathically and necessary for her protection, they are very hard for either of them to resist and sometimes causes complications in her quest to save this world.
She can feel the magic taking over her. Her protectors are kind and help when they can, but she’s afraid of what it all means, and fear can send her magic flying out of control.
