Author Bio:
Marsha Mildon is an author of three previous novels as well as two non-fiction histories and thousands of articles on social justice issues. This novel, Beware When the Cormorants Dance, grew from Marsha’s 8 trips to Peru during which she has trekked, travelled, taught, and lived with locals. She’s talked with many Andean Peruvians about their lives, the wonderful, the tragic, and the every day. The novel has grown from those conversations along with her own experiences. It explores the love of the land, daily lives, the thousands of years of amazing ancient cultures, and Peruvians excitement at each new archaealogical discovery. But most of all, this novel explores Marsha’s characters resilience in the face of every obstacle placed in their paths.
Marsha has Masters degrees in English Literature and Online Education, as well as studying writing with W.O.Mitchell, Sylvia Fraser, and Alice Munro at the Banff School of Fine Arts, the creative writing course that turned her into a working professional writer.
