Carrying You Always is a deeply personal collection of poems. The words came out of the silence and shame surrounding miscarriage and baby loss, trying to encapsulate the pain. It gives a voice to some of the loneliest and darkest days, with the hope that these words can offer some help, even just a little.
We need to talk more about miscarriages, about loss, and about grief. It may not be easy, but it is important. This book is dedicated to those who walk this path. This is for those grieving. This is for those who want to understand.

Miriam Oglesby was born in 1993. Miriam is a British writer living in Germany. A feminist in tech, she is passionate about languages in all forms: how they can empower to connect, learn, and heal. Her writing honours what is often unspoken, particularly in women’s lives.
She is convinced that writing and talking help her immensely with handling tough topics. Miriam seeks to not only make sense of her own experience, but to help others feel seen, heard, and less isolated in theirs. When she is not writing, she is learning languages, building communities, and scouting joy and beauty in the everyday.
