This book recounts the events in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine from February 24th to 26th, 2022. Due to the region’s proximity to Crimea, Russian forces advanced rapidly, threatening to encircle and destroy Ukrainian units on the left bank of the Dnipro River. To escape the trap, Ukrainian forces launched an urgent retreat to the right bank.
In a daring move to help his comrades escape encirclement, a young tank company commander risked his life to secure a passage for a large Ukrainian military convoy across the Antonovsky Bridge. Engaging the enemy in battle, he defended his country and earned his place in history as a hero.
