Throughout the centuries since its conception, the United States has made many enemies across the world, enemies that would like nothing more than to see the free world burn. Finally the day has come that these people have come together to fulfill this grim wish, and we cannot stand against their collective strength. All we can hope to do is survive in this new world they have made for us, and, though I am young, I still have more than my own safety that I care for. The others that I’m living with now have become like family to me; and more than that, I too care about the fate of our nation. Now I carry these concerns with me along with the weight of my mother’s death and father’s unknown fate as I fight every day to keep myself and my friends alive. My hope is that one day we will find others to fight with us and throw out our enemies, enemies that used to be friends, and that when this is all over someone might find what I am writing now and use it to remember this chapter of America’s history. First, though, I must take each day as it comes, for I rarely get the luxury of thinking of the far future anymore. My name is Nathan, and I am a survivor of the day America fell.

I started writing my first story one morning in the third grade, and fell in love with the creative potential the art holds at so low a cost. Now that I am in college, I’m majoring in writing and working every day to become a better author in some way or another. Of course, I have my great writer’s dream, but what I really love is the act of creating the story (though the money is what helps me be able to focus on this). I hope that I can not only entertain with my books, but inspire as well with my “what if” scenarios that I propose and the unique style I tend to write in.
