“The game show from hell” is a phantom broadcast that appears on TVs, laptops, sometimes even smart phones, and tries to compel the viewer to commit suicide. It is a phenomenon experienced by countless people around the world.
Presided over by the demonic host, Mr. Pontiac, the game show seems to tap into some kind of gruesome afterlife where the souls of people who have recently committed suicide are set a series of blood-curdling challenges, and all the while an audience of demons scream and taunt them from the auditorium.
Horror author, Chike Deluna, and Nicholas Bower (one of the earliest victims of the show) have compiled a book that attempts to dissect the phenomenon, separating fact from fiction, myth from rumour, whilst drawing upon a comprehensive series of interviews with people who have experienced the nightmare show first-hand.
Originally from the UK, Chike Deluna currently lives with his wife and daughter near a haunted village somewhere on the West Coast of India . He writes full-time in a quiet corner of the jungle where not even the howls of the Gray Langurs can drown out his screams of frustration. He specializes in contemporary fantasy, and horror with lashings of tragic romance.
