In her debut novel, Winnie Sabbat narrates how changing her worldview allowed her to shun her negative mindset and trust that unhappiness isn’t her fate. Through sheer will, a refusal to settle and an immense amount of support from friends and family, she has seen her life change tremendously. By challenging her culture’s old-world view, and traveling around the world as an unmarried woman, she’s embarked on a journey of self-discovery and found spirituality in places outside of religion. Readers will learn that wherever they are in life’s journey, it’s possible to trust in the universe’s guidance and be led in the right direction. She hopes you will learn, just as she has, that petit a petit, life gets better.

Born in Haiti, Winnie Sabbat spent the first 12 years of her life living in a country characterized by constant political upheaval, economic turmoil, and civil unrest. She found solace in books and dreamt of becoming an acclaimed writer, penning her first book at the age of ten. Eventually, she and her family moved and settled in Westchester, NY. Petit-A-Petit is a chronicle of her experiences in the foreign lands that she’s visited and the lessons she learns from each of these journeys. Currently calling NY home, Winnie believes there is still much to discover in the world and is as passionate about exploring as storytelling.
