Traveling to India was one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life! It was very exciting – exotic culture and people, architecture and, the most important, food. Or the food! – every piece of Indian dishes blows your mind with the diversity of flavors, and your mouth begins to watering even when you smell someone cooking far from you.
During my journey to this wonderful country, I even forget why I came here in the first place – to learn the secrets of Indian cuisine. Thankfully, after several months of enjoying all the kinds of food that I happened to try, I began my work on this cookbook – Culinary Travel: India.
In this book, you will discover the most interesting and peculiar Indian dishes that you can cook at your own kitchen. Here you will find something spicy and fragrant, sweet and savory, delicious and mindblowing – dishes that will make you want more and more, so be careful.

Hi! I’m Mia, a descendant of Italian cookers from Palermo. If you ask me who I am, I will tell you that I’m a cook and a traveler. You see, Palermo is a port city and all my childhood I’ve spent observing people from different cultures and I loved that, I was dreaming about traveling around the world. When my family moved to the US, we opened a small restaurant business, and for a decade or so, I settled down.Business was good, the small family restaurant became a fashionable establishment, and I became a professional cook, but thoughts about traveling and studying foreign cultures haunted me from time to time. On one day I determined that it is time for me to learn something new as a cook, and this is a great opportunity to see the world – that’s how my Culinary Travel started. In the years that followed, I visited more than twenty counties, including Mexico, Brazil, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, India, Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand and many more.As I stated before, the purpose of my travel was to improve my cooking skills, develop new abilities and to learn. Every country influenced me a lot – I met different people with their cultures and traditions, I lived with them and ate their food. All this knowledge I preserved in my notes and new recipes that developed throughout the journey. When I returned home, all that experience allowed me to look differently at my profession – it turned me into a master chief. Now every customer of my restaurant can try dishes from different parts of the world, and I do my best to preserve the spirit of cultures and countries that I explored. But you don’t need to visit my establishment if you want to try these meals. I can say even more – you don’t need to travel if you want to experience different cuisines and taste dishes from around the world. Why? Because you can try these foods in your own kitchen! My books will allow you to discover the whole world through the recipes that I developed. Sounds interesting? Take a look – begin your own culinary travel!
